A simple citrus cream dessert.
CombineCombine cream and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium to medium-low heat and boil for 3 minutes, stirring — watch it closely, it will boil over. Remove from heat. Juice one lime and one mandarin orange, stir the juice into the cream mixture, and let it sit for 5–10 minutes. Pour into small serving dishes and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight until set. Can also be served hot as a topping for pancakes, banana bread, or bread pudding.
